{Pretty, Happy, Funny, Real}

{Pretty}
A pretty new hat for her first birthday.
{Happy}
This is one happy baby with the funny Scottish fuzzy cow that her grandma sent for her birthday.  She's absolutely delighted with it.
{Funny}
I think my baby has learned to play dress-up.  She puts a scarf around her shoulders and crawls around the house like that.

I'm not sure what the attraction is, but this is the book that my little girl gets in trouble most often for pulling off the shelf to play with (she's awfully hard on books, especially those with paper pages).  Maybe it's the bright blue cover.
{Real}
This is mama's attempt at re-direction.  It works ... sometimes.

  1. We tend to be hard on books too. Good luck with your redirection - I've almost given up on that (but they're a little older and not quite as rough anymore.)

  2. Isn't that funny - at that young age she's putting on the scarf! That's awfully cute.

    Good idea on the 'redirection' of attention. ;-)

  4. Love the dress up! Too cute.

    My Little loved him a good book to eat, from about 9 months to 18 months. Now that he is almost two, he is much less rough on books (although a page or a cover gets torn from time to time). He much prefers to arrange and rearrange them on the shelves, and he's pretty careful about it.

  5. I like your re-direction efforts. We found packing the books into the main shelving really tight worked to deter Ginger for a while. At 15 months she is dextrous enough to get them out anyway now.
